pause for a moment…
Take three, slow, deep breaths.
Ask god to speak to your heart.
Station 1: Anointed
“Breaking open the jar, it’s contents are the most costly and pure perfume, she pours the precious scented oil over Jesus head, like anointing a King. All for His pleasure.”
Station 2: The Last Supper
“Jesus starts getting serious and we know it’s time to settle down and listen. ‘This is my body,’ He said, ‘broken for you.’ … Then He took the cup. ‘This is my blood,’ He said, ‘of the new covenant. Poured out for many.'”
Station 3: Jesus in the Garden
“When Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray, we read that he was full of sorrow, distressed, and that his soul was in agony. He said multiple times, ‘Father, if it be at all possible, let this cup pass from me, but not my will but yours be done.'”
Station 4: The Denial
“Frustrated, angry, desperate, he denies it again, cursing and swearing ‘I do not know that man!’ The rooster crows. Then he remembered that Jesus said he would deny him 3 times before the rooster crows.”
Station 5: The Trial
“Pilate questioned him at length, and knew Jesus was innocent of the crimes they were accusing him of. He told the crowd ‘I find no fault in Him.’ They still demanded Jesus be crucified.”
Station 6: The Crucifixion
“Jesus cries out with a very loud voice, I can’t understand what he said but I can see the end is coming, his breathing is getting harder. He cries out again and dies. The moment Jesus dies there is an earthquake.”
